Worship service is available on our YouTube channel.
Central to our church life at St. John’s United is our worship. We enjoy and value diversity in forms and styles, taking a joyful approach to prayer and worship!
We are casual. Those who come to worship generally wear comfortable clothes, participating as much as they are able. All are welcome, regardless of religious background, to full worship, including Holy Communion.
We are traditional. Our music and worship format generally follows liturgical forms handed down from generation to generation. Hymns, Scriptures, and spoken words are shared, as well as a relevant and biblical sermon.
All ages are welcome, and Sunday School is offered to children through elementary age after the children’s time each Sunday, with the exception of the first Sunday. Children are welcome to the Communion Table.
A time of fellowship and refreshments follows worship.
Education
St. John’s United offers Sunday School and Bible Study for all different age groups.
Our goal in Sunday School is to help children learn that God loves all of us. Class takes place during the service, following the children’s time, up front with the pastor. Our Children’s Outreach Director, Hannah Hutchinson, is the primary teacher.
Our adult Bible Study helps to continue that mission of learning as adults, living our faith. We strive to provide everyone a place to discuss and share faith questions in a non-judgemental atmosphere. Adult Bible Study takes place at 10:00 on Thursday mornings.
Youth Group works year-round on different service projects and their yearly Mission Trip.
Our Sunday School and Youth Group enjoy presenting a Christmas Pageant each year as well as helping during service in various ways.
